In 1960, two Vice-Provinces were canonically erected in Goa and in Bombay With the integration of Portuguese India, in the Indian Union; it was no longer necessary to have two Vice-Provinces; in 1967 these two Units of Sisters were fused into the Province of Our Lady of the Mount. The year 1992, marked the beginning of a new phase in the Congregational history in India. A new Province branched out assuming the name – Province of the Immaculate Hospitaller.
Under the providential glance of God, the Province continues to grow and produce good fruit in abundance. At present, in the Province of the Immaculate Hospitaller, South India, there are 29 fraternities and 200 members rendering their services to the people in different states.
